Il lavoro, esposto al Museo Bilotti e al Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma, si compone di una serie di immagini, realizzate dal telescopio Hubble e tratte dal sito della Nasa. Le immagini ritraggono Nebulose, spettacolari nuvole di gas gettate nello spazio dai resti dei nuclei di stelle morenti risalenti a migliaia di anni fa. Gli spasmi durano pochi istanti nel tempo cosmologico ma per i nostri parametri potrebbero durare decine di migliaia di anni. Il lavoro vuole registrare questi istanti, i movimenti e le pulsazioni delle stelle morenti, attraverso fotogrammi che raccontino la cronaca della loro agonia. L'immaterialità della nebulosa, frammenti visivi di una stella gia scomparsa, si contrappone alla fisicità della stampa su carta Hanji, materiale pregiato e resistente, frutto di una tradizione coreana millenaria. Lo sfondo nero è costituito da immagini di altri lavori realizzati nel corso del tempo.

The work, on display at the Bilotti Museum and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, consists of a series of images, made by the Hubble telescope and taken from the Nasa website. The images depict Nebulae, spectacular clouds of gas thrown into space by the remnants of the cores of dying stars dating back thousands of years. The spasms last a few moments in cosmological time but by our standards could last tens of thousands of years. The work aims to record these instants, the movements and pulsations of dying stars, through frames that tell the story of their agony. The immateriality of the nebula, visual fragments of a star that has already disappeared, is contrasted with the physicality of the print on Hanji paper, a fine and durable material that is the result of a thousand-year-old Korean tradition. The black background consists of images of other works made over time.
